Gimli is a bright white Huacaya male with excellent genetics, a sweet personality and great disposition.
Gimli has an excellent pedigree. His sire is JFS El Tomar, and is a PPeruvian Timoteo grandson. Also on his sire's side is PPeruvian Romona, PPeruvian Vengador, and PPeruvian Elvira. His dam is Arroyo Seco's Kimberly a NWA, LTD Haldane daughter of Peruvian Hemingway and PPeruvian Esmeralda. On his dam's side he also has MMR Chantal and NHM Esmeralda.
His fleece is very bright and dense with an above average crimp and fineness. Gimli's sire maintained fineness well into his life - his sire is 11 years old and he produces 8 or more pounds of blanket each year. Gimli takes after his sire, shearing at least 8 or more pounds of fleece per year.
Gimli is very good looking with a nice head, straight legs, and body all in good proportion and with a conformationally correct bite.
Gimli also has a calm personality and gets along well with the other males in the herd. He is also an enthusiastic breeder but not overly aggressive. He gets the job done without a lot of drama, and has produced close to a dozen excellent cria.
